DETAILS
Our 40m2 gallery hosts contemporary art. During their residence in one of A.P.A.!'s ateliers we provide artists an opportunity to introduce themselves.Besides this, our chief goal is to introduce young Hungarian artists and groups at the start of their career, and to exhibit works of foreign artists.
Ateliers pro Arts organizes international exchange programs in order to promote communication between Hungarian and foreign artists and to launch the career of young and talented Hungarian artists. We do not only create the circumstances for artistic creation but also assist in exhibiting works and bringing them successfully to the arts market. Finally, a part of our mission is to win the larger public for the cause of contemporary Hungarian art, whether they be visitors of our exhibitions or buyers of art.
Next to the gallery there is a new creative design group, Lab Control.

The tenants of the office on the right on the upper floor are three talented architects; for details please visit www.munkacsoport.net.
The other office on the upper floor and the adjoining photo lab hosts the Brezina photo club, lead by photographer Zoltán Brezina.
As the name Ateliers pro Arts shows, the ateliers are the creative spaces of the artists working here. The house promotes artists as well as their works (arts). The ateliers are located on the ground floor's skylit courtyard, surrounded by the tall side walls of neighboring buildings, at the foot of a 40 meter tall chimney, built of red brick a'la Giorgio de Chirico. One of A.P.A.!'s central aims, namely, is to assist artists in their creative work by establishing an important condition of creative work: providing an atelier.
The house's five ateliers are occupied by artists. The room on the left in the courtyard is used by the house's supported artist, Ágnes Szabó. The ateliers on the right are occupied by sculptor Beáta G. Szabó and painter and restorer Tamás E. Szabó.

The Apacuka restaurant on the ground floor offers culinary delight and cultural events including theater, live music and movie performances all year round. For details, please visit www.apacuka.com.
Our goal is to create an environment where various forms of art can interact and complement each other. We wish to become an island of culture in the 8th district, where visitors can come in to refresh and refill.

A.P.A.! is located at five minutes' walk from the Hungarian Radio, the National Museum, the Italian Cultural Institute or from the ring, József körút.
